结晶釉

Glazes whose visual character is created by crystals forming within or on the glaze during controlled firing and cooling.
Technical Description
A crystalline glaze is designed so that visible crystals can develop as the molten glaze cools.
The final pattern is not painted. It emerges from the relationship between glaze chemistry, temperature history and controlled cooling.
Crystal size, density and distribution can vary substantially from one firing to another, which makes kiln control part of the visual composition itself.
Blue Fir treats crystalline glaze primarily as a contemporary material system unless a specific historical connection is documented.
