Primary high-temperature firing followed by lower-temperature overglaze firing.

Technique
Production process involving two distinct firings: a primary high-temperature firing for clay body vitrification and underglaze setting, followed by a lower-temperature firing to fix overglaze enamels. Standard for all overglaze-decorated ware. The temperature differential between the two firings is technically critical.
