铜红釉

A high-fired copper-bearing glaze capable of extraordinary reds, but exceptionally sensitive to kiln conditions.
Technical Description
Copper can produce intense red at porcelain temperatures, but the colour depends strongly on glaze composition and firing atmosphere. Small variations can move the result toward pink, grey, greenish or colourless areas.
Jingdezhen achieved remarkable high-fired copper-red monochromes in the early Ming. The British Museum describes the Yongle examples as a technical high point; later Jingdezhen potters revived copper-red glaze production particularly strongly under the Qing.
Even within a controlled firing, glaze thickness, position in the kiln and local atmosphere can produce tonal variation. The best examples are therefore valued not merely for redness, but for depth, balance and surface character.
